The Yellow Jacket is the mascot for Lookout Valley Middle and High Schools.

This is one of the big critters painted inside the school.

The only problem I have is that I actually can’t stand yellow jackets. After getting stung by a bunch of them while mowing grass, my feelings for them are not exactly fond.

Thankfully, the kids that go to the school are not as aggressive, nor do they buzz around me with a bad attitude when I mow grass. Maybe they will redeem my impression of that little bug one day.

Why can’t schools have butterflies as mascots? Just kidding…really.
