August, 2011, was the driest month Chattanooga has ever seen. We only got 1/100 of an inch of rain. To get any less would require a law against spitting.

This is a picture of the grass in my back yard. Crunchy. But as I was walking across it, a verse came to mind. Even in the heat of the day I was blessed.

“The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.” – Isaiah 40:8
