On Target

Our family chooses to drive 25 miles out of our way to shop at the Target in Hixson, Tennessee. We know it costs more in gas, but we try to make the trip for more than one item. We prefer Target over Wal-Mart.

So, last night we went to pick up a birthday present for my father-in-law. As soon as we walked in I could see this sign. Funny, but it shocked me! “Christmas? They actually used the word Christmas?”

So many businesses are getting so afraid to say “Merry Christmas”for fear of offending someone. But folks, religious preferences aside, the name of the holiday IS Christmas. It IS a day to remember the birth of CHRIST. What is so wrong about using the name of the holiday in a greeting?

Anyway, my thanks goes out to Target for this warm greeting. It made my day.
