This is one of several shots I took of the tree house in Crossville, TN.

If you have never been there, it is worth visiting.

It is built around actual trees. He just started and kept adding on, and on, and on. There is a bell tower (chimes are made from used oxygen cylinders) at the very top. Inside is even a chapel big enough for a decent church service. To beat it all, it’s all made from scrap.

I talked to Mr. Burgess and learned of his story firsthand. He built it because he believe God told him to. Much like the movie Field of Dreams, God told him that if he would build it, he would never lack materials. To Mr. Burgess, the tree house (largest in the world) is a ministry. I think it’s a great one.

I will post more tomorrow.

Here’s a link to a website that took a lot of PROFESSIONAL pictures. Enjoy.
