This is a picture of me standing on one of the walls of Fort Clinch, Amelia Island, Florida.

The picture was taken on a cold, January day, so don’t get jealous. I was freezing.

I loved visiting this old fort. For that matter, Amelia Island was awesome, especially considering that hardly anyone was there that time of the year.

As I stood on those walls, a song came into my head that would not leave: A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.

  1. I love the old forts, so much history and the song is very appropriate.
