A Bridge, Nevertheless

It is just a small bridge attached to the Bluff View Art District in Chattanooga, but it’s a bridge, nevertheless.

Chattanooga has several beautiful bridges, some of which have been recently restored. Even the small ones are nice, like this one, or the glass bridge crossing Riverfront Parkway below the Hunter Museum.

But even though it is small, getting across that road below to the other side would be difficult. How much more important, I thought, is the Bridge between God and man, Jesus?

Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way? Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. – John 14:5-6

And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, [I say], whether [they be] things in earth, or things in heaven. – Colossians 1:20
