Here is my daughter, Katie (before new hairstyle), playing a guitar. But it’s not just that she is playing a guitar that is worth noting.

Katie is literally surrounded by hundreds of thousands of dollars of classic, custom, and vintage instruments for sale at Gruhn’s Guitars in Nashville. But all of those wonderful instruments are useless unless they are played. And you know what else? It takes a gift to be able to pick one of those instruments up and catch the ear of a little girl you’ve never met.

Here’s a thought: don’t waste what you have by letting it sit around unused.
